Not working for me either.
-New Castle Plaza Park 'n' Ride
Lose the park-n-ride obsession.

Is either of Adelaide_passenger or Pressman on here? I feel in the mood for a good debate.

Strange, may be a server fault. Hopefully it'll be fixed ASAP.

This is for traffic coming along South Road. Why shouldn't the space be used for a Park-and-ride when Castle Plaza management would pay for some of the cost in expanding the carparking area to an extra storey or underground.

Park'n'ride means that your PT is not working well enough. There's some cases where park'n'ride are needed, like at the rural end of a long line. But inner urban park'n'rides just mean that you're failing to provide enough service to pick up passengers from where they live.
Exit on the right in the direction of travel.

Why would they pay for it - how would it benefit them? Like having people parking in a carpark next to their shopping centre, catching public transport, returning 8 hours later and driving home again will benefit them.

Excellent post - use buses for what they do best.

Fair enough, I'll review that then.

I've just checked and my domain name has run out. I contacted my host and he will renew it ASAP.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

As I continue to build my routemap database, feel free to ask questions about a certain area or route and I will attempt to answer it as best I can.

I am currently rebuilding all routemaps, making a few changes to previous ideas. I am trying to make the network as efficient as possible, while also making sure destinations such as shopping centres are covered and express buses increased or introduced in peak on various routes.

That's during peak times (7am to 9am (time it arrives in the city)) only. I think a 2 hour frequency is sufficient during daytime, including weekends.

You shouldn't be encouraging that sort of long distance commuting - and there's hardly any demand anyway.

It would replace the current Murray Bridge Passenger Service, which currently runs 4 times a day, approximately every 3 hours. An AdMet service running every 2 hours outside of peak would encourage further growth (as it would be priced similar to the Strath service, which is about 2 bucks one-way) to an already growing city and encourage people to use the bus more regularly, especially in times of higher petrol prices.

In terms of demand, I have a friend who catches the current bus and he said that there would be demand for those extra services.
