Good job, but there's quite a few proposals missing from your list

If you look back a page or two on this thread you will find what I think is a very comprehensive
list of proposals. I'll provide another update in a month or two.

You also seem to be slightly over-zealous in the completed list dates. The Mayfair opened in January this year, not 2014 and I believe 70 Franklin finished in 2013, not 2012. But this is such a non-issue, so don't take any offense from it.

It's a great thing that you've kept track of the last seven years of development in the city for newer members like myself. Seems a little sad that we're now down to just 4 cranes from a count in the high-teens when I began lurking in late 2012-early 2013. It's a bit odd because it seems like quite a lot is still happening and in the pipeline. I guess that means we'll bounce back up again eventually, and this time quite a lot will be private investment.

You are right in the completed dates may be a couple of months out so if a building was opened in say February it may have reached practical completion in November or December. Generally once the crane come down it gets moved to the completed tab. Hope this makes sense but as you said its not when the building was opened.

Yes the skate park is closed but people climb over the fence or pull the gate open and continue to skate there. No one seems willing to remove them.

Lots of big projects underway and about to commence exciting times. I don't ever remember this many projects at or about to commence construction phase. We had had heaps of proposals but this is by far going to be one of the biggest 24 months periods in terms of both height and quantity. Can't wait!

In the next 3 months we should see cranes for Central Adelaide, Palladium, U2, a number of South Terrace proposals, convention centre, possibly Uni SA, 1 or even 2 at Mayfield and maybe more if the hotels commence too.

A crane pad and associated works compound is being setup in the grassed area between the Convention Centre and Linear Park path (see map below). .

There will be four months of civil works to prepare the area, and then a 200 tonne crane is expected to be in operation in June 2015..

The crane will be in this location until approximately the end of 2016.."

Crane Pad will be utilised by crawler + hydraulic mobiles, no fixed towers to be utilised.
