Is the RAA moving into the ground floor tenancy of CoH, or somewhere else on Grenfell St?

Hi Howie/James,

Now the ground floor retail tenancies have been leased are you able to divulge what stores they will be? I'm hoping some high end stores for such a nice building :)

In Advertiser business journal email yesterday confirmation that RAA will take up ground floor.

THE RAA will return to its old stomping ground on the corner of Hindmarsh Square and Grenfell Street in the new Conservatory on Hindmarsh development.

The company has announced it will lease the entire ground floor retail tenancy of the $70 million green building, which has been under development since 2004.

RAA chief executive Ian Stone said the move was an exciting phase for the company which had long been associated with Hindmarsh Square.

''The iconic corner is associated with great sentimental value for the Association, so it
seemed only natural to return to this location,'' he said.

CB Richard Ellis leasing agent Julia Pottenger said: ``It is great to have a high profile, high quality tenant such as the RAA take the whole ground floor retail tenancy as it is commensurate with - and complements - the overall quality of the building.''

The 19-level building comprises ground floor retail space, four floors of above-ground parking and five of high-quality office space, with 53 apartments on the top nine levels.

The South Australian Department of Trade and Economic Development will lease all the office space of the building

Had to be.

Couldnt think of another location in Grenfell St that they might have been moving to.

Those are some marvelous views out on the eastern side of the building. One wonders how long those views of the hills will remain before someone decides to redevelop around the eastern side of Hindmarsh Square.

Hi there

Conservatory has been selected as a finalist in the national BPN Sustainability Awards to be held at the end of this month in Sydney.

See attached summary of the finalists in this category - tough competition with some very significant buildings - so quite an achievement to get this far.

Thanks to all involved. Will let you know if we get a trophy!

Kind Regards

James.

Good news! Congratulations, James on a well deserved nomination and good luck for the awards.

The Conservatory makes a great contribution to the emergence of Hindmarsh Square and surrounds as one of our prime precincts.
