Surprised but very happy at the extra level - guessing the fundraising campaign for this building must have gone well There is definitely a big internal demand for colocating various related parts of Adel Uni in this building - there were a LOT of people lined up to move to level 14.

I love the impact this has looking west down North Terrace from the King William Street intersection... and will be even better with the UniSA building reaching a similar height. It's even tall enough that despite being on much lower ground than most of the CBD it is becoming visible from various vantage points to the south.

Good news. I'm pretty sure this one is taller than 70m. I think this one is actually more like 73.9m tall.

According to this PDF, the building height for the 14 level proposal is 69.7m (98.7 AHD), and judging from the building elevations in the PDF, the height between floors is 4.2m. Add this on and you get 73.9m.

You know what I find intriguing, that all this time while this has been UC, and while the apartments across the road for the NewMarket/HQ site have been proposed, nobody has said anything about flight paths. Lots of people(my self included) always thought that nothing "tall" could go up down that side of town because of the proximity of the flight path. This and the Newmarket site kind of bury that myth I guess.


Are those conrecte stair wells with the glass going to stay that way? Because that looks hideous.

This precinct will be the largest Biomedical precinct in the southern hemisphere. The render for this building
looks great. There's still a good 6 months of work left on the building and Mr Negative is already saying that
it looks hideous.

They were given permission to build at this height because if a plane does crash into any one these buildings the injured are only 1 tram stop from the RAH. Common sense really

I think this and the other new building next to it are going to look mint. Those, along with the
SAHMRI and RAH definitely make a good impact from the air when flying past the CBD.

This is what I said looks hideous..now I don't know how you spend your spare time, but I don't go jumping fences at construction sites to see if there's space between the glass panels and concrete stairs for a painter to get in there and paint the concrete.

From KWS by Adelaide Oval, this building looks incredible. This along with the latest upgrades to the Convention Centre have a massive impact on the setting.
