Sounds like a massive development. This is the site of the publishers hotel. Two buildings.

Demolition of existing buildings (excluding a majority the existing brick facades at ground along Cannon and Tatham Streets which are to be retained) and construction of two towers above a common podium for hotel and serviced apartment use, along with porte cochere off Cannon Street and and ancillary car parking access via Tatham Street

Good to hear they'll keep the heritage in tact.

Some of it anyway. I am assuming based on this little snippet that the original hotel fronting Franklin Street will go.

Wait, does this include the Published Art House behind the Publishers Hotel? That'd be a shame because it's a great characterful venue and contributor to the streetscape.

Not to say anything of the market currently, but the Publishers also only recently opened a beer garden/function area so I imagine this is a few years off from happening (if at all).

Two towers makes me feel they won't be tall but a girl can dream. Another over 150m with an interesting design and it will be a great game changer for ADL. Realm alone is having a wonderufl impact.

A few months ago I saw renders of two buildings on one podium ( I can’t remember the exact location but I think it’s this one) if it is I wouldn’t be too excited. The building looked very average and wasn’t tall.

Can't imagine these would be very tall at all given the location. I'd imagine airport height limits of whatever sort in that location would keep them well under 100m.

Another CBD hotel... it's like the tenth or so right now???

I absolutely agree with you there, it's a nice, cosy venue and it would be a shame to see it go... Unless they can incorporate it somehow into the new development.

Ostensibly only through a bit of façadism (retention of brick walls) if the dev app is anything to go by.

The Publishers Hotel celebrated last drinks on Friday. I presume we may see some action on this site next year....
