I see works have begun on this up there

I went past this over the Christmas long weekend, works are very much well underway, new southbound has been excavated, overpass ramps earthworks in place, land acquisition for the duplication and earthworks pretty much done south of the town. All that's really needed now is the asphalt to be laid down.

Work is moving along at quite a steady pace on this project. The dirt ramps for the overpass look to be close to completion. I'd expect work on the bridge itself to start in the next month or so. Piling is also underway for the bridge to cross the Port Wakefield River.

I'll be heading through this area pretty regularly for the next little while so I'll try to post a few pics or a video at some point.

Has anyone got an update on its progress and a likely finish date on this?

Half of the beams for the new overpass bridge are now in place. Bitumen had begun being laid on the overpass ramps. The new bridge over the Wakefield River is well underway. Access to Balaklava is now via the new road behind the service stations and bakery.

Only the overpass opened, the duplication is still ongoing.

Drive through of the Port Wakefield Duplication and Overpass, and the Wakefield to Lochiel Duplication.

Port Wakefield is very close to being finished, the road to Lochiel is in the early stages and would be 12+ months off of completion.
