This one has recently been lodged with Plan SA.

Oddly, this one features a "showroom" on the ground floor. Levels 1-2 will have offices, and the remaining floors (3-10) will have apartments.

Nevertheless, great to see more growth along the parklands.

A lot of these inner suburban developments have better designs than much of what’s happening in the cbd.

This along with the development at Royal Hotel will add welcome density along the parklands.

Spectacular views of the city, parklands and hills will be on offer to buyers this weekend when apartments in a $100m luxury development in Kent Town are officially released to the market.

Developer Chasecrown is spearheading the project, known as Parkline, which will feature 62 one, two and three bedroom apartments.

The all-electric building on Dequetteville Tce will be capable of net zero operation, avoiding the use of fossil fuels for heating, cooling, hot water and cooking appliances, and delivering a 7-star average energy rating for the apartments.

Its official launch follows planning approvals secured last March.

Chasecrown director Louis Kanellos said he expected a rush of interest in the luxury offering when its released to a database of interested buyers, with each apartment providing uninterrupted views of either the east parklands, city or hills.

“We expect the apartments will appeal to a range of buyers from young professionals through to downsizers seeking a convenient lifestyle with close proximity to parks, gardens and local amenities,” he said.

“It’s not just residents that will benefit from the project, with Chasecrown investing in the public realm around the Kent Town project by activating the street frontage and laneways with high-quality landscaping, green walls and artwork, contributing to the Little Rundle Arts Project.”

The Little Rundle Street Art Project started in 2016 as an “outdoor gallery” showcasing the work of local street artists.

Parkline will tower 11 storeys above Dequetteville Tce – between King William and Little Rundle streets – and will feature ground-floor retail and showroom space and offices on the second floor.

End-of-trip facilities including bike storage, showers and change-rooms will also be available to office tenants, while residents will have access to private storage areas.

Other environmental design features include a naturally ventilated car park with ‘green walls’, a solar array supporting the building’s communal energy consumption, electric vehicle charging stations and home automation options.

Parkline will become one of the first major apartment projects in Kent Town since Palumbo’s $70m East Park development on an adjacent site immediately north of the Chasecrown proposal. That project was completed in late 2017.

Apparently 80% sold, so potentially next apartment block to start. Though it does seem they have some of the high price stock remaining.
