Relocating Parliament house and Government house

I'll keep my own thoughts to a minimum here. But any thoughts on Parliament house, and whether or not it could be repurposed/or even relocated?

It doesn't seem like the most beneficial use of space. I was thinking that if it was moved or demolished, a commercial precinct could be implemented, with plenty of amenities, and it would possibly make Adelaide North railway station less isolated. It's the same with government house.

If it was open to shops/commercial activity, there would be one continuous avenue of retail/whatever from Rundle Mall to the railway station, instead of large portions of land, with minimal if not no public access.

turn it into a casino, it'd be about as useful

indeed, I'd support relocating the pollies to Port Adelaide next to their new public service building

Adelaide has no shortage of space, both un-used and under-used, without needing to expand retail precincts onto that side of North Terrace.

Why would you move it?
- Does it need to be moved for a specific reason?
Where would you move it to?

How about a parliament building at the Torrens Parade ground? ADF can use the parklands for their rare freedom of entry parades.
But rather then a building with the footprint of the current parliament, a reduced footprint with a smaller/more efficient government instead.
Existing parliament could be turned into boutique retail outlets, build the dome on top and light it up every night, or even chuck Walkers second tower on top.
