8 Level building for 17 Hutt Street

It's unfortunate to lose the villa from that row as it's a lovely streetscape contribution. But it hasn't been given even local heritage status. I suppose I can't be too sad as Adelaide is not shy of similar examples, and the development is for a worthy cause.

I thought they were just connecting these 2 buildings at 150 /152 Grenfell St together but the demolition seems to be progressing beyond that as the front and east side of the east building has all the windows removed. picture 27/4/2023

Re: 151 Gilbert Street.

One of the builder staff was on site this morning. Construction should be underway shortly. They were asking us if they could use our carport as a meals area for the workers, no space unfortunately.

Workers already on sight at 151 Gilbert Street including a small truck. Sounded like a jackhammer was being used. Possibly removing old clay sewer pipes or footings.

Great. Love these kind of developments - they give a nice feeling of density to the CBD’s smaller streets.

Just had a peak, they were actually removing remnants of the previous building that was still attached to the tattoo parlour next door. Cleaned it up really well.

That's an old render, the latest proposal is 10 levels.

Even the tree in the newer render is watered down.
