they didn't even investigate much on the bus stop thing, they said two other hotels had bus stops in front: the Hilton and The Stamford. Basically, bus stop moved due to hotel redevelopment, so what? that's the beauty of buses, the stops and routes can be easily moved, get over it Shtvertiser

But supporters of the development had mocked users of the bus stop prior to its removal, on a web forum run by Sensational Adelaide which promotes development debate in the CBD.

I've been quoted out of context by the Advertosser. My life is complete now.

That post back in 2012 was about the building's state at the time, which was derelict and abandoned. Some people were trying to make the link between the state of the building and the kinds of people who used the bus stop. Which was obviously ass-about.

The Advertiser is as usual, playing it's deliberately divisive role of creating controversy out of nothing. As if moving a bus stop is even worthy of reporting on.
I stopped buying it, then stopped reading it on line and now don't even read it in coffee shops. (It's not worth reading even if free with coffee) it's just too depressive, anti SA, anti-development.

What I'd like to know is how the hell he found those posts. Did he just put ["mayfair hotel" + adelaide + "bus stop"] into google & copy/paste what he found? He couldn't have trawled the thread looking for people posting negative things, could he?

I'd suspect, just like his colleague Tim Williams (from whom, incidentally, we don't seem to have heard for a while), Miles reads this website daily and has done so for quite some time.

(Looks like a restaurant in the basement and a rooftop bar are in there).

The rooftop bar is known as The Hennessy Lounge. When will everything be open to public?

The rooftop Hennesey Lounge is for upper-floor executive suite customers only (bar, lounge, terraces).
