Update 27/10/2023. from tower 1 at northern end work is progressing on level 3 tower 2 (centre tower) just staring on level 4 ,while tower 3 closest to city is still only at level 1. picture at northern end looking south.

As a kid I spent time hanging around O'Connell Street, so it has a special place in my heart, and so does the old Caffe Paesano that closed on that site in 2009. Remember that? The food and atmosphere were fantastic - it was like a kind of less formal Parlamento. I was so sad to see it go, but nothing good lasts forever.

I'm glad that this site is finally being developed after lying vacant for thirty years. This is what it looked like today as we drove past:

Yes Ben, the crane nearest the city had a large rise over the week end. Compare this picture from Palmer Pl with the one above.
