Update for Grenfell St as at 6/1/2024 showing recent work on new upper levels . Judging from the picture in this link (which is paywalled so I can't read it), the RAA will be moving into this building: https://www.adelaidenow.com.au/subscribe/news/1/?sourceCode=AAWEB_WRE170_MG_a&dest=https%3A%2...

The supports closest Tower 1 will be redundant now as Tower 2 is supposedly confined east of the parliament balcony to 'preserve views'.

Re: Cedar Woods Glenside
Honestly, things are so bad out there that if someone's proposing to build decent housing I'm inclined to let them. That said, 20-storeys seems something of an ambit claim given the area does not have the amenity or transport options of the CBD. Not only that, but the Minister does not have the god ...

A rooftop bar won't do much to activate the plaza, the stated purpose of this proposal.
But I do think this building should be as publicly accessible as possible, so sure, open the rooftop.

If you read the planning report, the proponent rejected several concerns and recommendations expressed during the pre-lodgement process about the building mass and form including the suggestion that a single tower being considered. The developer argues two towers are necessary for commercial yield a...
