[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)
The Commonwealth today committed to fund the Aboriginal cultural centres in Alice Springs and Perth as part the new national cultural policy. No exact dollar figures published. Given Tarrkarri apparently needs more money, I hope the State Government is making appropriate requests in time for the May...

[U/C] Re: Festival Plaza Incl. 115m Tower | $800 million
Perhaps already spotted by others, Festival Tower is now named 'One Festival Tower'. A few newer renders I have not seen before can be found here: https://www.onefestivaltower.com.au/ I like how they’ve named where the plaza is meant to go the somewhat ambiguous “future stage.” Worse is the implica...

Re: Deregulation of Shop Trading Hours
Honestly, I support full retail deregulation within the CBD, but I think the issue is overbaked. Shops in the city can open till 9pm on weekdays and most don't. Some years ago Rundle Mall pushed staying open till 7pm Mon-Thurs and there was no strong desire from the retailers to continue it outside ...

Re: PRO: Marion Road Level Crossing Removal Project | $200m
Back to topic, if each of Morphett, Marion and Cross are done, will it be two bridges or one long skyrail? I've wondered how that might factor into the redevelopment masterplan for Morphettville.

[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)
The developer's website says due for completion mid-2024, so they'd want to get cracking. I can't imagine there's any financial hold back, given state/federal funding and the number of pre-commitments — but then again, It's a mammoth 41,000sqm.

Re: PRO: Marion Road Level Crossing Removal Project | $200m
While the corner shops are demolished, they should have taken the opportunity to build a pedestrian underpass from the square under Colley surfacing on Jetty Road. Sent from my SM-G996B using Tapatalk Why? Jetty Road/Moseley Square is a place for people not cars — we shouldn't send them underground.

Re: PRO: Marion Road Level Crossing Removal Project | $200m
I actually think the tram is essential to traffic calming on Jetty Road. It's a benefit not a detriment that it runs at grade. Yes, agreed. I also think they need to reconsider the amount of on-street car parking on Jetty Rd, especially on the western end past Gordan and Partridge Streets. The stre...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
Visited the Vickers Vimy display last week. While it is far more accessible than its former site, and the exhibit itself is outstanding, I was surprised to see it somewhat still hidden away from the main terminal. I haven't yet seen its new location, but I assumed it would accessible from within th...

[PRO] Re: 217/218 Greenhill Road | Park Court | ~10 levels
Here's another view.
I agree that architects can have loftier aims with social housing, but (materials notwithstanding) there's nothing wrong with this in form. There are dozens of similar blocks across the city, and at least this one is a public good.- Thu Jan 05, 2023 3:40 pm

[PRO] 217/218 Greenhill Road | Park Court | ~10 levels
As mentioned by EBG in the Cancer Council thread , the adjacent Park Court housing trust is currently being demolished. InDaily has an article today about the plans for roughly 130 affordable apartments (including about 50 public homes). Looks about 10 levels for main building and will be jointly fu...

I didn't realise they were looking at Morphett Road in conjunction with the project for Marion and Cross roads. Great news, although funding seemingly not yet committed. https://dit.sa.gov.au/infrastructure/ma ... s/morphett

I don't think you've demonstrated this. What evidence have you that energy users are worse off now (in supply terms) than the historical average?
