Now's probably a good time to remind Will of something he posted in July 2013... http://sensational-adelaide.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3335&start=3092 Still think that...? :) I am flattered that you have such a high opinion of myself that you would remember something I said, 2 years ago...

[COM] Re: Adelaide Convention Centre | $350m
Hideous carpet. Who decides these things? I would say that as a Convention Centre that hosts a range of events with hundreds if not thousands of people attending they picked a carpet that doesn't show mess. That would be my reasoning for that pattern, even if it is kind of hideous. (i.e it won't sh...

[COM] Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment
So how does ticketing work then? I was always of the assumption regardless of the venue, that the number of tickets sold equates to the number of seats? Or is it just free for all and see how many people rock up? With regular admission they sell 1:1 tickets to seats. (And the equivalent capacity fo...

Design Comps That Amount To Nothing Aren't Exclusive To SA
We've all seen it before in South Australia, but look, it even happens in VICTORIA! http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-01-05/flinders-street-station-redesign-unlikely-government-says/6000098 "Flinders Street Station redesign unlikely to go ahead: Victorian Government" The Victorian Government...

Re: News & Discussion: General CBD Development
Dvious, it's not a simple as saying 'I am going to build a 150m tower !!' First thing is there are height limits in the CBD, look at the Bohem proposal for example the developers scaled down the proposal so that it would be approved. Secondly a developer needs to have a strong business case in orde...

This could look really ugly during the day. Notice they've only shown night shots and in Render Fantasy Land too. I guess I'll wait and see before passing judgement.

[COM] Re: U/C: Rundle Mall Redevelopment | $30m
People who keep talking about the "hot summer sun" have you ever actually been in Rundle Mall? During the awful heatwave at the start of the year I went shopping in the mall and found the second I walked into the mall from a side street, the temperature dropped significantly. I think all t...

The costs for such licences has never been the prohibitive factor for bars. It's more the hoops and red tape you had to get through before being able to finally open the doors. That's what the new legislation is about.

In what I regard to be a below the belt move, Grill'd will be opening at 187 Rundle Street (formerly Red Rock Noodle Bar); which places them directly across from Synagogue Place where Fancy Burger trades. Of all the prime real-estate they could have chosen to set up shop in the CBD they just happen...

Re: Adelaide University - Developments & News
As I walked through the University Campus this morning I saw temporary fencing with black mesh has been put up all around the new Union Hall building (I dont know what it's called), is there some building work about to be done? Ahahah. No. That's what occurs when a super unpopular Prime Minister is...

I love this. The bold bit is the official statement. And then the rest of the "article" is basically written off rumour and innuendo. I'm happy to be proven wrong, and the likelihood is there is the potential for delays, but at this stage there is no official word on any of that. THE compl...
