[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway
Why are they only planning this now!! Seems very chaotic, it' s no surprise that this section was to form part of a continuous motorway.

[CAN] Re: Port Adelaide Dock Spur Line
Just thought i'd reactivate this thread:
1. To illustrate the folly of our state govt
2. To clarify if this is cancelled once and for all, or I am sure I read somewhere that the Libs Govt was conducting a further study on the viability?

[VIS] Re: A new inner-city stadium is one of a raft of big ticket projects on the government's agenda this year.
Completely agree with the sentiments on this forum. This proposal is bat shit crazy - there is no way it can stack up economically, are sporting complexes and roads all this government cares about? Especially after scrapping a relatively modest rail extension to Port Adelaide (which would aid gentri...

[PRO] Re: Brighton Road Grade Separation
Can someone in the know please tell me the point of this grade separation, when there are further bottlenecks at Tapleys/Anzac - in my view traffic merely gets to the bottlenecks quicker

[CAN] Re: Port Adelaide Dock Spur Line
I use the Belair Line regularly and from what I can tell, the service is very well patronised (especially during peak hour). Someone mentioned closing stations, I don't think that is required, Lynton is actually a very busy stop. Even in its current form (without much improvement), the service is st...

Yep, agreed with all said - this STINKS.
So the Libs claim grade separation is investment in P.T - umm, strictly not true , it's to ease congestion for motorists predominately.

Looking at that video , the upgrade looks pretty bleak to me, more trees and plantings are required.

This whole upgrade is BS, it doesn't extend or upgrade PT at all, it's merely to satisfy motorists. The previous station was not even old and with some foresight, I agree with previous poster, they at least could reuse some materials for other station upgrades, but then that doesn't help our poor mo...

I know its bad, and yes i'm probably an asshole - but i'd prefer a Contemporary Art Gallery to be honest. We had some fantastic designs from the competition - all for nought it appears.

They just don't get it do they?
In a country like Japan, with a very successful public transport system, at almost every major station, there is a sizable shopping precinct, makes sense you see?
Off topic, but when considering the recent station upgrade at Marion - missed opportunity there too!
