Re: Cost of US war in Iraq and Afghanistan
Oh right. The US tax payer is making these corporations rich and dying for the privilege too. Sounds like a fair deal. I'm totally disgusted by how much the US and other countries spend on "defence".

Why not attend the meetings and vocally support developments as she sees fit.Ben wrote:Anne's response to this is she will attend all DAP meetings as a resident of Adelaide City and vocally opose all developments she sees as unfit.

Let's not forget the amount of wounded soldiers / civilians on both sides. The cost of supporting an injured person is even more.

Re: Tiger Airways
anyway, im quite pleased that tiger have finally decided to fly to adelaide, it's more convenient/competitive, and i'm sure a lot of people will fly with them who could not previously afford the expense of a flight with qantas/virgin. It's funny that I remember when Virgin was the "budget"...

Cost of US war in Iraq and Afghanistan
Staggering. I just can't imagine how much good this money could've done if it was spent on US citizens instead of these two wars. From the Melbourne Age . Iraq war cost put at $1.7 trillion Josh White, Washington November 14, 2007 THE cost to the United States of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars is abo...

Re: Adelaide - The Christmas City
It is a sad reflection on our society that people feel the urge to go shopping on Christmas day. Sorry Will but being non-Christian, I don't see this day as being much more than just another public holiday. Whilst I respect the day for what it means to Christians and I even try to get into th...

Re: #Article on Fast growing cities in Australia
Another article from ABC News. This is great coupled with the fact that more people seem to want to live closer to town. This should give Adelaide a nice density which is so needed if we're to get that "buzz". Mining projects boost Adelaide population Adelaide is growing at a faster rate, ...
