i like "City of Light" as suggested previously by someone in a different thread. It works on many levels... Paris is known as the "City of Lights".... Maybe a little too close, however, another variation could be "City of Delights" referring to all the delightful featu...

i wish we could shake the "city of churches" label...so annoying. Good idea Wayno. Maybe we need to find a new label that sells Adelaide for its best features etc. Use it often enough, get it into the media and eventually into tourism and business. e.g. City of Pride City of Lifestyle Aus...

Is it a recent aerial shot of Adelaide?
Winter last year I would say. RAA building still there, CC2 under construction and South Parklands very very green. It's a very good picture.

What's everyone's thoughts on this project?
Is it a classic case of "the existing building is old" therefore we need to preserve it and build over or behind it, or is there some sort of aesthetic reason?
I personally think this project is an abomination, with awful street appeal.

BTW I am fully aware that this is adding another post to my count Wilkiebarkid :wank: Lighten up Pistol, it was quite clearly a lighthearted joke and did not warrant the use of an offensive symbol. Quite honestly who cares about the post count? Out of approximately 1200 memebers there would be less...

You might think of a discount card or something that is obtained by showing your registration of your vehicle or similar. But even then, who's to say that such a card wont be used by Mister Eastern suburbs showing his son's small car's rego papers and then driving into Topham carpark in his Hummer?...

Some pics from a different perspective today. No.3 is my little grumble at how close new townhouses are to an expanding CBD. Wait for all the problems in 10 years or so when someone wants to build a decent sized highrise next to these tinny (that's meant to be tinny!) townhouses! http://i253.photobu...

Do you really think that such a document put together by a load of amateurs would be a good idea considering that the Premier is the one with all the information and civil servants' reports behind him? What we want from this letter is an explanation, and possibly a change of plan. We're not going t...

Wayno I think, if we are to write to the Premier on this matter we need a document with a lot more substance than this one page letter. There needs to be detailed reasons for an entertainment precinct. What it hopes to achieve for the City, its residents, tourism, economy etc. Details of the facilti...
