Re: Electrification and Resleepering of TransAdelaide Network
On the subject of the Belair line, I've been meaning to go for a trip on that since they reopened it. Has anyone here been on it yet? Any noticeable improvement as far as smooth / comfortable ride / etc? I'll be catching it into town tonight :) Hopefully it's a nice smooth ride because alcohol + an...

Re: Electrification and Resleepering of TransAdelaide Network
I spose they would probably be running mostly on the Belair Line, so I might have to start catching that into work rather than the Noarlunga LineNorman wrote:Apparently there are quite a few changes, but I'm not too sure what.

Re: Desalination plant for Adelaide
The laying of the pipeline is nearly finished along lonsdale road and work should start along majors road soon. The traffic delays are bloody annoying :!: So it's safe for me to drive along Lonsdale Road now without the risk of pulling my hair out in frustration? That's a bloody relief, it's ...

Are we seriously getting Krispy Kremes??? I've heard a lot of suggestions over the years but I'm still yet to see one open up...although to be honest, I reckon the doughnuts at Donut King are actually better than at Krispy Kreme.

Re: Electrification and Resleepering of TransAdelaide Network
Yeah, I also heard them say that. I think they may have gotten their facts muddled up. As far as I know of, they were just resleepering the Belair line so that they can then shift their focus to electrifying the rest of the system.

Re: #Transport Projects
I am assuming that the globes have just blown on the places where there are dead pixels. Goodwood station is a good example, they were actually the first station to have them installed IIRC and so most of the globes had blown. The boards have now been replaced with new ones.

I wish the ACC's DAP (or is it DAC?? :? ) would get over themselves and accept that just because they don't like Adelaide moving ahead into the 21st century, that most people do actually want us to move on. Re: Desalination plant for Adelaide
Yeah, I drive along Lonsdale Road every day and it's absolutely rediculous the amount of roadworks along there!! It's very impressive how much machinery they are using, usually you might see one or two machines on a site, but at the two main sites there are 7 or 8 big diggers and trucks and stuff, q...

Re: Glenelg Tram upgrade (#UC: South Rd Overpass)
Haha, I couldn't help but laugh at the "transit mall"! That would seem soooooo wierd to not have cars at all on KWS, and it could have caused a few problems given that KWS is pretty much the CBD's main road... It would have been interesting if that had of been built though. In my opinion, ...

Thanks Howie. I'm not sure what those floating canopy things are for, but they're.... yeah. Interesting to say the least. And I can't for the life of me figure out what's holding them up. What, the orange things?? They look like umbrellas to me. Have a look in the third picture, you can clearly see...
