[COM] Re: South Rd Upgrades - News & construction ONLY | U/C: Supe
South Road (South Australian Government) The proponent has provided a discussion paper on the South Road corridor, which is part of Adelaide’s north- south corridor. The South Australian Government is requesting feedback and engagement from the Office of the Infrastructure Coordinator to develop an...

Re: Mawson Lakes - Not just another suburb
Mawson Lakes really needs to lift its game in the environmental and amenity departments. Currently, there is very little entertainment for locals, particularly young locals - if they want such entertainment, they have to leave the site. Take a cinema for example, the closest one is located at Tea Tr...

[PRO] Re: #ONH: Westfield Marion Expansion | $280m | 150,000sqm
Bowland isn't exactly huge. A bunch of small shops, perhaps? Little boutique stores or something? The third level should be expanded to include a new Bowland, bigger Intencity and maybe even a restaurant or bar. No idea if this is possible or not. But this, though. I'd love to see this happen. In th...

Re: A Discussion about Tolls (on roads..)
Those outer 'burbs are far more suitable for childless couples, or even single homeowners. More time spent commuting, less time that could be spent with the family. Unfortunately, this is the case with areas north of Elizabeth, particularly those generic Legoland developments up north out at Andrew...

Re: #UC: Noarlunga - Seaford rail extension
You're correct Shuz, but I think the Government identified land 'as far as Aldinga' a couple of years ago. A rough corridor can be seen in the 30-Year Plan; if you just look on Nearmap and match it up, you'll be able to work out the rough corridor for the future extension.

Re: A Discussion about Tolls (on roads..)
What are people's thoughts on the argument for and against tolls? and ideas for future tolled roads? There are two mistakes NSW and Victoria have made that we must always avoid: using tolls as an excuse to avoid public transport improvements and setting tolls so low that the tollway becomes congest...

Harrison Research are running the trial. There's the possibility of being called up for future research projects, with $50 in travel money...

Re: Electrification and Resleepering of suburban rail networ
There are actually 22 new trains, they all run in sets of 3. Also, apparently some of the train order has been placed on hold or they are negotiating that right now. Also, IIRC, some of the 3000-class will be converted to electric, with at the very least a number of them being converted to permanen...

Re: Electrification and Resleepering of suburban rail networ
TBH I believe the railway electrification of all train lines is more important than a 2.8km elevated highway. Sure it's an impressive piece of infrastructure but Adelaide has suffered long enough with it's pathetic old railway network. This should of have taken more priority first before the South ...
