Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
I think we could grow the offering from those that we have on this list...
In terms of new carriers, JAL is a no brainer given how many Australian's are holidaying in Japan year-round, we could provide ourselves as a catchment for people from WA also.
I think aside from tourism, Adelaide's ...

Re: Cedar Woods Glenside
That's the timeline I heard, I don't know any reasons. Perhaps related to Schiavello being the new builders? Sarah have built the previous 5 buildings at Glenside and Elegan is the first building at Glenside being built by Schiavello. Or maybe that has nothing to do with it, I don't know.

[PRO] Re: Westfield Marion (Extension)
Perhaps they figure that if they install boom gates with paid parking after 3 hours, they get rid of some commuters using parks all day, as well as some employees using parks. Perhaps they have a plan to force employees to park further away (maybe with shuttle bus provisions) because I'd imagine ...

[COM] Re: Adelaide Botanic High School | Frome Road
It will actually be a new school, nothing to do with current Adelaide High School. This new school plus the existing Adelaide High School will both operate, to help ease enrolment pressure on Adelaide High School. This new school will have a catchment zone, with families living within the zone able ...

Not to mention give a few local people a job. In fairness, though, I have no idea if SA companies manufacture what is required?RiseHigh wrote:Maybe they should have had them made in Adelaide and the job would have been finished by now, and probably would have been cheaper as well.

I was there yesterday, and to my (untrained) eye it simply looked like they were renovating the stage/concert section in the central area. No sign of any other development at all that I could see...

I was going to write something that conveyed my excitement and nervous hope that it does actually get built, despite my fears that all we'll ever end up with are depressing "artist impressions" ... Then I thought that I'd be lazy and simply re-post what I wrote in June...

Re: Zoo financially up the creek
We all think the same thing; halve the price, watch the visitor numbers double or more, therefore far more profits with food, souvenirs etc. So what are we missing? Why are the zoo bosses being so ridiculously stubborn about this?

Finally. Such an important decision, not just to get something happening in our city centre that has been a desert for so long, but also to send signals of activity and action amongst the current mood of economic gloom pervading this state/country. Yarwood, yee har!

Looks fantastic, I love it and wish with the intensity of 1000 fiery suns that it would get built. Alas, too good to be true, no doubt. Get Gina R on the phone and stick some cash into this, now!
