Re: News & Discussion: Other Transport Projects

Looking on Google Maps I would say a route could be - Bald Hills Rd, right Old Princes Hwy, left Nairne-Woodside Rd, right Onkaparinga Valley Rd, left Woodside Rd, right Main St Lobethal, left Cudlee Creek Rd, left Gorge Rd, right Tippett Rd, left North East Rd, left Lower North East Rd to Grand Ju...

Re: PRO: $18m Modbury Triangle Upgrade

If I was in charge of the Modbury Triangle area... 1) Demolish exisiting mall and carparks 2) IKEA on ground floor, basement parking. 3) Residential above as high as height restrictions in the area allow, the views from the top floors would be good. 4) As for the exisiting car parking area (North Ea...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Whats worked best though for Le Fevre Peninsula the previous set up of buses feeding to trains and having buses to and from the City via Port Road, Arndale and West Lakes or the current setup of most buses running to and from the City i.e 150, 157 and one irregular feeder route. Semaphore which is m...

[PRO] Re: Hove Level Crossing Removal | $171m

One of the issues I find with rail or road overpass options is the noise and overlooking into backyards. Whereas say Oaklands underpass and Bowden underpass is quiet, barely notice the train noises and doesn't have the issues of shadowing. Also with the rail overpass option train driver's will most ...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Will the corridor under the new bridge be wide enough for double track to future-proof easy duplication? It looks a bit worryingly narrow in the renders but I can't tell for sure. If the line ever gets extended to Concordia, duplication probably won't even be a question. The very least they can do ...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

Which still leaves us with clogged arterial roads and a very expensive half empty motorway. The more cars making longer trips we move onto the motorway, the easier life gets for people doing local A to B and our bus network. Why would it be half empty? Those exits still leave three options to get i...

Anyone got on any tips on new tenants for City Cross? They've been doing seemingly substantial internal works in the tenancy next to the Rebel escalator. EB Games and Camera House have been vacant for a year now. Read recently that City Cross and North Adelaide Village have been sold to two interst...

I found a few images of one of the earlier Darlington proposals. The early design had the trench just on the west side and few less lanes. The upcoming Torrens to Darlington section should have minimal entry and exit points, I'd go with entry/exit points at Anzac Highway and maybe Cross Road.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Yeah nah, Melbourne residents are fed up with constant delays. Above all, I'm actually quite disappointed to see quite a few people here seemingly in favour of the flogging off of another asset that we, as taxpayers, are meant to own. Is it really "flogged off" or is the government contracting out ...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

Gonna be honest, I didn't see how the proposed change to bus numbering was any more understandable or logical than the existing one. The new numbers were as much a series of disconnected characters as the old ones, and only seemed to make people have to memorise the new number for the same buses th...
