Re: News & Discussion: Trams

A city loop and extension to North Adelaide is a no brainer The others I doubt very much They are close to the city and well served by regular bus services In the future if these areas become denser , maybe Agree though it will need to be a Labor Govt that does it Sent from my SM-J730G using Tapata...

That’s not really a great location for office space.

But superb for apartments.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Why do we have so many buses that go from the CBD to the outer northern suburbs? Should just have one bus that goes from CBD up Main North Rd that terminates in Elizabeth. All other outer North buses should be feeder routes to the nearest train station. This will of course be even more effective onc...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

The Gawler Line can be made more efficient by culling several stations: Kudla, Nurlutta, Parafield Gardens and Greenfields can all be removed. Agree. We should then have a 15 minute daytime all stops service (like Seaford) for the remaining stations. Afterwards, all stations should be upgraded to r...

I have always thought that there is a big opportunity to build a park and ride at West Lakes, similar to the TTP park and ride.

What about Johnny Farnham? He’s a notable omission
What notable connection to Adelaide does he have?
Sorry I’m mistaken. I thought he grew up here, but having googled it, he didn’t.

No, one that can be shared. But as said above, a City Loop could open up ARS to make it more feasible.
Make ARS for feasible for what? If we build an underground CBD loop, ARS as it currently stands is all but redundant!

I visited a number of those buildings about a week ago.

They have created a series of iconic new buildings over the past 10 years.

The Harris Scarfe space would be perfect for Uni Qlo. Whether they take up 1 or 2 floors though - I think 1 floor would be sufficent for them in comparison to their other stores.
Would any major chain be game enough to take up space on the first floor in Rundle Mall anymore?

Its a stock standard building. Nothing great about it, nothing all that bad either. Simplistic more then anything else.
Just wait till the monstrosity next door goes up.
Agree. Adelaidean doesn’t win any beauty awards but it’s no shocker either.

Re: Vision: CBD Underground Rail Loop

Have recently been holidaying in Singapore, and using their brilliant MRT Metro system, widely-regarded as among the best systems in the world. Clearly our rail system is light years behind the world’s best. But it got me thinking about the importance of a CBD rail tunnel to link our rail lines toge...

It has been awhile since I photographed from the top of the carpark so here it is, in all of its glory and all the shrouding removed. very impressive. 2019-12-19 09-47.JPG My only disappointment with this building is that it isn’t more centrally-located so it features more prominently in Adelaide s...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

I’d support bus lanes from the National Wine Centre to the Magill/Portrush Rd intersection (perfect time to do it when they widen the intersection over the next few years). This is a very busy bus route with great frequency (5 min frequency in peak) but is slowed down by the volume of traffic. I li...
