Michael Brown is the tip for Ramsay. The deal to get Jay in as Premier reportedly involved surrendering Ramsay and Elder to the Right. Conlon will have to formally join the Right if he wants to survive.

I think if Wortley was going to be elevated to the ministry it would have happened by now. The Right seemed stunned this week when Gago was anointed Upper House leader and no new minister came in. It will be interesting to see who replaces Finnigan in the Cabinet. The SDA will have to be careful with its selection. There could be a backlash this time if someone is elevated without any discernible merit.

Nyrstar recently reported problems with the Pirie smelter, but expressed confidence these would be resolved. If the smelter shut down, Pirie would be cactus.
