Can anyone confirm if more of the facade lettering was attached to the bottom left corner today?

I didn't see anything really objectionable from the kid and actually don't mind his enthusiasm , but it's you guys' call I guess. AtD's right though, the lack of pissing contests make this site great to visit, although I'd hate to see our presence at SSC diminish too much more, because it's always ...

Those are top pics. The other day I was contemplating just what I had to do to "earn" the right to see the inside of the building in person.

My first visit here was a very long time ago. The forum pretty much had 6 months in between posts - all of them Howie's . Although the site was going nowhere, I kept it on bookmarks and checked every month or so, hoping something would happen. Then, something did happen  After one of my ma...

Okey dokey. Just one more thing i'll add. The general PAR that was finalised (in the article at the start of the thread) was the one that increased all the height limits. The new height limit for the balfours site, under the revised development plan, is around 40m. The separate Balfours PAR further ...

Brilliant summary chris which cleared up a few misconceptions we've been having here.... namely height restrictions of only about 3 levels. Things are looking brighter i must say for city west. Look forward to your post on monday with the new limits! I wasn't suggesting there's 3 level height limit...

I saw a presentation at the ACC on the 3 PARS the council has undertaken (general PAR, Balfours site PAR, le Cornu PAR) on Thursday. Balfours PAR isn't quite finalised. There's 2 small hitches, then it will have to be approved by the minister. Hitch 1) height of the midrise apartments on one side (n...

I think it's just the sections of the paper. In the renders you can make out words like "sport" etc.

107m is probably the RL height, not the building height.

Yep, getting to that crucial stage. The writing's on the wall with this one...

So in real terms, the drop is 9%. Factor in the tram closure (it's doubtful that every single tram passenger used the alternative bus route) and the drop isn't as big as the article makes out.

Holding the meeting in the Colonel Light room basically means "no public" If there's 30 speakers, they'll take up half the pulic seating alone.

Perhaps the biggest question I have about this development is where the initiative for this quirky planning practise has originated from within the council itself. Having watched a couple of meetings of the development assessment panel, it's quite apparent that the elected members work under very cl...

That's probably the best looking render i've seen of it.
Nah mate, this is off Hindley, not Rundle.

The building you refer to is globe apartments.
