Re: News & Developments: Port Adelaide

Spotted this in todays paper. Looks like that hotel project is dead as we all knew and the land is now being carved up. Im going to hazard a guess here that if something is built, it will either just be townhouses or possibly townhouses with cafes / small shops at ground level.

Re: News & Discussion: General CBD Development

Seeing as I've been been challenged as 'anti-progress', let's talk about what high rise development does for street level activation, Kings Head Hotel and the Wright Street Hotel weren't necessarily bustling Mon-Thurs venue but they were very popular on weekends - both are now a crumbling and not ...

Re: News & Discussion: General CBD Development

This is on the DL (with an announcement pending), but sharing because who cares, I'm fed up with this shit. I've just heard from a tenant that the foreign owners of 2 Hindmarsh Square have served 9 months notice to all tenants (Clarity Records, Carlton Deli, Loc Wine Bar, Room on Fire Vintage ...

Re: News & Developments: Port Adelaide

The Quest 2 Hotel is up to the second floor. Seems to be going up quite quickly now.

In other news...

Apparently demolition of the Fisherman's Wharf Market building will happen in the next few months. I've heard a rumour that two 20(?!?) story buildings will be built on the site. I call ...

Jesus Christ, no. 20 storeys should never be allowed here. That is just beyond excessive.
Some of us would absolutely love to see this go up and god I hope it does!

Cant believe how underwhelming this bridge will be. Whats the point..
To get from one side to the other?
:D
Someone thinks they’re smart 🙄

I’m not trashing the idea but rather the blandness of this bridge. They could do better considering the prices of homes in Dock 1 and now Dock 2.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Guys, this is a bit off topic but what do you think about the kiosk opening up at Woodville? It’s been sitting there empty for god knows how long now and I’ve always thought something could do well there, especially during peak hours. Thoughts?

I know this isnt exactly Port Adelaide but does anyone know whats happening on the corner of Semaphore Road and Military Road on the South Eastern end? Similarly on the North Western side where IGA was there is also fencing and I saw people in high vis on the building earlier today.

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

R&B will soon reopen on Grenfell St. however Georg Gensen will be closing up shop before the end of year.

I read earlier that R&B was in administration.
So assuming this issue was addressed at the final moment.

They have been bought out and will open 5-7 stores in Melbourne, Sydney and 1 ...
