Re: ADVERTISER RIPOFF

From a family history point of view the digital edition of The Advertiser at least gives me the option of viewing the obituaries, etc. and clipping electronic copies as needed, without having to bother with the physical paper or leaving home. :)

Re: News & Discussion: Metropolitan Developments

Looks like The Pines Shopping Precinct is getting another look. A $50M retail development is being planned for the corner Flagstaff and Black Roads, Flagstaff Hill. Article in this week's Southern Times.

[COM] Re: #PRO: Uni of Adelaide - Medical School - 13lvl- $120 mil

that would be a waste of quality land; not to mention the fact that it would only lead to further desertion of the Western Park-lands. If we let the developers off their leash we wouldn't have any parklands/gardens to enjoy  Some people do appreciate the "green belt" surrounding th...

a sign saying something about dangerous goods and use an alternate route That's probably being overlooked at the moment whilst Majors Rd is closed to through traffic. The sign is a carryover from the days when there was a refinery at Port Stanvac. These are usually the holders of the Safe-T-Cams th...

Elizabeth Road bridge not too far from reopening I guess - bitumen has been laid and temporary pedestrian access across the bridge currently in place.

Re: News & Discussion: Metropolitan Developments

Response from Harris Scarfe to my query on FB: Harris Scarfe Hi Rene. Our Colonnades store opening has been rescheduled to early next year unfortunately. The building in which we will be situated is being built still. The good news is that because of the extra time, we are now able to open a full li...

Re: Centro Colonnades

It appears Harris Scarfe at Centro Colonnades is not progressing very far. Previous reports suggested it may open by Christmas 2012. When that did not eventuate, we thought it might happen after the opening of their Rundle Place store, but still no word as to when it will actually happen  I am...

Today's edition of Southern Times Messenger at p.14 lists a notice from DPTI re Sherriffs Road disruption late April - Dec 2013, including weekend closures whilst bridge beams are being put in place. I noted there was no info re this on the DPTI site at this time.

[COM] Re: U/C: Southern Expressway Duplication | $445m | 22km

The eastern side of the Elizabeth round bridge has been dug up so they can install the new Cycle/pedestrian path as a tunnel underneath the road, the original path which went underneath the bridge has been removed, I'm guessing to provide sufficient length to the exit lane for the Beach Road Interc...
