Cheers Howie - I keep wanting to thank people for their uploaded pictures but the only way now is to clog up the board with extra posts.
Thanks for everything you do to keep the forum running by the way [emoji106]

I really like this one and have done since the initial renders stage. The full-length glazing would have been the icing on the cake but I'm still more than happy with the outcome so far

Just a general wondering but is the thanks feature likely to be reinstated?

I really don't see the problem - as long as they are maintained and don't suffer from aesthetic or mechanical deterioration due to being exposed to the elements. They serve a purpose and don't seem particularly offensive in my opinion.

I think you've misinterpreted my post, and/or vice-versa. By blaming mentality it sounded like you were suggesting the reason that crowds don't show up in greater numbers to A League games was not because the offering was poor but because people weren't willing to change their mindset to attend what...

And here lies one of the major problems with this code in Australia. The mentality. Blaming the 'mentality' for a code's average performance in attracting fans to games is akin to a musician blaming the mentality of people for not buying their music or going to their gigs. If people don't get excit...

I highly doubt it is a red herring. I'd love to see a comparison between youth participation rates at club level between Football (soccer) and Aussie Rules. I would expect them to be fairly equal in the traditional Aussie Rules states with Football well ahead in the Rugby States. I didn't mean that...

So much better than the design in the original renders - I always thought it looked very disjointed with the large gap between the curved top floors and the squarer podium. This looks far more cohesive and less top-heavy.

[VIS] Re: New inner-city stadium
Surely we're always going to have a problem attracting large numbers of Aussies to the soccer because the vast majority of noteworthy games are played on the other side of the world in the middle of the night. Australia doesn't and will likely never have a league large and talent-filled enough to co...

Re: I hope everyone is travelling well and getting through this.
Nothing much changes for me really - have been WFH since March so that will continue. Won't be able to take the kids out but we're lucky to have a nice back garden with play equipment etc so they'll be good for six days. No childcare so that'll make things a bit busier on the days when that would no...

The location I suggest is about 650m from ARS, if they build a second foot bridge. About 660 without a footbridge. How did you come to that distance just out of interest? I can't find a route from ARS under 830m, with a route involving a new footbridge being nearer 1km. I'm not trying to be pedanti...

[VIS] Re: New inner-city stadium
Hindmarsh is literally only a couple of kilometres out of town... close to train and tram stops, close to the new major freeway that's being planned through our city. Close to the airport, in a nice area of town with things like Queen Street and Bowden nearby. Good parking available. It's also wort...

[VIS] Re: New inner-city stadium
I think you could argue the Entertainment Centre has as good or better public transport connections than Adelaide Oval -- it's physically closer to both the tramline and railway as well as key bus routes. I am not sure if your comment is sarcasm or if you are serious? If serious, what are you smoki...

I think the road name has been discussed before but I'm not convinced the Kaurna people would want their name associated with what is essentially a giant scar across the Adelaide Plains.

So by that logic are all two lane tunnels inherently unsafe?
