There was already a town there, if I'm not mistaken, called Hummock Hill or something, and when the ...

That's the whole idea. The viaduct at Port Adelaide will still be used by Trans Adelaide's broad gauge commuter trains, but the standard gauge heavy freight trains will head from Dry Creek directly on to the freight line up the eastern side of LeFevre Peninsula. As for Broad gauge freight (the Stoni...

Well done Debonair, I almost did the same thing in the same place, but already own positively-geared property @ Roxby Downs, and while Munno Para West was one of the best deals in Adelaide, it was rather negatively geared by comparison. Turned out it was going to cost me $9000 a year to save $9000 a...

No, an under/overpass at the Gepps Cross intersection should be for east-west traffic on Grand Junction road. The intersection carries a lot of commercial traffic, including road trains, the vast majority head along Grand Junction and Port Wakefield Roads. Main North Road traffic is mostly private ...

But sometimes people do not know what is good for them. Development is a very good example. People ignorantly oppose development with hysterical claims. We elect governments to think and decide for us. Consulting the public in regard to every development and desicion is a waste of time and money. S...

The proposed alignment of the freeway doesn't really offer a saving in distance. Would probably be longer than the current Heaslip / Angle Vale Roads route. But there are farms and businesses on Heaslip and Angle Vale Roads, not to mention Angle Vale township itself. If the freeway used thes corrid...

Things down south are not moving anywhere near as fast as they are up north. The closing of Mitsi's engine plant at Lonsdale, and of Port Stanvac have left a big hole in the economy down there. Land simply isn't selling, and you could pick up a nice block of land at a good price if you are willing t...

We could have had a whole N-S freeway from Dry Creek to Old Noarlunga if Labor hadn't sold off the reservations in the 80s! . Have a look at this website re South Australia's freeways http://www.ozroads.com.au/SA/freeways.htm Here's a quote from it: In Early 1980 the Tonkin Government won office an...

People on both sides of politics seem to have short memories, that's probably only natural. I do remember seeing John Olsen in a debate before the Libs' second term of office, and he had nothing to say except whinge about how Labor had left the state - that was his answer to every topic brought up. ...
