Re: Prospect | Churchill | Main North Road - Development & News
Are we likely to see a redeveloped Islington Railway Station with improved access once this development is up and running? Would be a good idea to make it appealing to the influx of new residents moving in to the area.

[COM] Re: 269 North Terrace | 118m | 34 Levels | Student accommodation
What 'character' on the southern side of North Terrace is this 'concerned government architect' referring to? Is it the beige concrete monstrosity that is the David Jones building, or its afterthought add-on Tiffany & Co? The Adelaide Central Plaza, with its six-lane car park entry and poorly ta...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
The trams will be using the new lines in late March. Hopefully the trams will be using the Festival Theatre Tram Stop before the first AFL footy game at Adelaide Oval for the year. Just on this, if ProspectLINK goes ahead in the future, will they build a stop right out the front of Adelaide Oval? E...

[COM] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade
I reckon the capacity needs to be 10,000. Would be good if it was a similar venue to the Perth Arena with the 36ers playing games there too.

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
The only point that might have been worth arguing is whether or not there were one or two economically viable lines they could have kept recycilg some of the better rail, trams and equipment. That might have been Henley to Kensington, or maybe Unley and/or Colonel Light Gardens. However, then as no...

Re: News & Discussion: Transport Projects
I don't understand why an Aldinga extension is being submitted whilst we still have rail electrification waiting on the list? I also don't understand how the Cross Road level crossing for the Belair and freight line(s) isn't on the list of level crossing removals. This is a no brainer from the pers...

Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Network
Interesting that they're getting rid of the Tonsley station. I wonder how many people this will impact, and if they will ever end up creating that huge Park 'n' Ride that was proposed for the Clovelly Park station a few years ago?

Are works on the Tonsley Line extension to Flinders going to start once all the roadworks are complete?

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
So we now have to put up with chaos on north terrace for 3-4 months so that the tramline can be extended to nowhere. Honestly, now that the Rah has closed down, there nothing in the east end these days. What a disgrace. Poor comment. Plenty happening in the East even with the RAH closure and a lot ...

Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Network
I have no specific opinion myself, but once the Gawler electrification is done, wouldn't it be better to electrify the Hills line? Would not electric traction produce a bigger improvement on the grades there? The Port line is flat, and the diesels would find that less of a challenge. or is there so...

I bought my tickets today. Can't wait to see that beautiful place in Feb next year. My last JQ experience wasn't favorable, so lets hope it goes better. Time for flights are as follows: ADL 1945 HOB 2205 HOB 1745 ADL 1915 Days: TUE, THU & SAT This is excellent news, I can't believe it's taken t...

Re: Infill Developments | Metropolitan Adelaide
...Given all that's happening in the area, should we have separate thread for Kent Town or the inner east?.. It's been the experience here, that whenever we spread topics over threads like that, people post in several different places. So probably a counterintuitive idea. But, yeah. That corner of ...
