Re: SA Economy

Monarto and the Multi Function Polis both failed. What makes you think third time lucky will be the answer? I would really like to see more focus on the South Coast region (Victor Harbor, Port Elliot, Middleton, Goolwa) into South Australia's second major urban centre with a population of 100,000+....

Good to see. The Parade is perfectly positioned for projects like this. Hopefully we see a tram going up there one day.

Even Chadstone, Australia's largest shopping centre, only has buses going to it. Although it does have specialty buses from the CBD in addition to regular suburban bus routes. Mali and Labor have shown no interest in investing in public transport barring a spur line in PA. The best we can hope for i...

Speed limit. Only in the urban sections. North of The Port River Expressway the speed limit is 110km/h. When I was making a comparison to the NS Motorway I wasn't referring to speed limits, I was referring to technologies. This is annoying to be honest. What's the point of a restricted access, free...

It would be nice to see the old RAH east wing returned to the Botanic Gardens, which was originally proposed for the site.

The Station Arcade already has a newsagent and a pharmacy (albeit a small one), but I agree that these would be better suited to being inside the main station hall as they'll capture more visitors. On a slightly different topic, the rest of the Station Arcade is terribly daggy and in need of a facel...

I'm a little unclear as to what is going on with this site? Is the tower actually being built, or is this just a stage 1 like a new carpark entrance or something?
New office building is going up. See post #350

Germany paid $5.2 billion, in 2010. Brazil paid $19.7 billion in 2014. These are two of the biggest 'soccer' nations on the planet. What's it going to cost Australia & NZ for 2034? We're going to have to come up with some more stadiums. I think the minimum is 40,000 for the regular round, 60,00...

Good riddens, shame the Hilton and it's ugly sister across the road isn't also getting demolished. Great photos btw Slightly off-topic, but it would be great if both the Hilton and Intercontinental underwent some major facelifts. Both are really showing their age these days, especially as modern bu...

The 36ers would be mad if they moved their home matches back to Findon. But if they get a very favourable stadium deal, who knows what they might do. The 36ers had record attendances last season at the Entertainment Centre including multiple sell outs. The growth of basketball here and nationwide in...

It's also worth pointing out just how much growth this area has experienced. When they did the Victor Harbor Road Junction 10ish years ago, the finished works were great and held up capacity! Prior to that, Victor Harbor Road northbound had one lane turning right through a stop sign, into their own...

I'd say it's more likely that the remaining lines will use hydrogen powered trains in future rather than electrifying the lines.

The Hour Glass are hiring for people to start in early 2024. This could be one of their boutiques or a Rolex store as they operate them in Sydney. I’m not sure what’s with the sudden boom in luxury watch stores in Adelaide or whether we have enough demand for 3 new stores (including Tag Heuer). I t...
