[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway
If land is being acquired on the eastern side of South Rd in Ashford this will be for traffic travelling south as it approaches Anzac Hwy. The flyover was for traffic travelling north.

Re: News & Discussion: Laneway & Streetscape Projects
It's desirable for the Gawler place upgrade to have a different character to the Riverbank to Market Walk but the full length of the Riverbank to Market Walk should have a consistent design language and materials palette.

This is a giant missed opportunity. This site was the perfect chance to extend the Goodwood shopping strip across the tramline.

The flight path issues relate to the helipad on top of the RAH and safe access for the helicopters. And please no one be stupid enough to suggest that they should build the helipad higher.

The quality of the renders looks horrible - hopefully this is an internal job done within NextDC and not by a professional architectural firm. I particularly like the the sign on the corner that completely blocks the footpath. Or the completely pointless bollards on one side, which you would assume...

This, like the Ovingham one, is primarily a road project with the bulk of the benefits aimed at and flowing to motorists.

[VIS] Re: New inner-city stadium
I highly doubt it is a red herring. I'd love to see a comparison between youth participation rates at club level between Football (soccer) and Aussie Rules. I would expect them to be fairly equal in the traditional Aussie Rules states with Football well ahead in the Rugby States. School participatio...

Highly likely that it was contaminated soil. A common method of limiting the risk is to dig up the contaminated soil, wrap it in plastic and bury it below a new building. This prevents the contamination from leaking into surrounding soils and building over the top of it prevents it being accidently ...

A motorway of 2 x 3 lanes plus median is say a 21m width. Allowing for 2 at grade service roads, footpaths, landscaping etc the min. width needed is say 30m? Measuring off NearMap, the T2T portion ranges from 60m wide to 70m wide footpath to footpath. Landscaping and sound walls are outside this. T...

[COM] Re: Adelaide Oval Hotel
Obviously written by a Victorian. The pitch has been so bad over the last 5 years that some commentators and ex-cricketers were calling for it to be stripped of test status. The only thing going for the MCG is capacity and the guarantee of Boxing day tests. When not near capacity it is a soulless pl...

C&G, who did the new Calvary hospital, reckon they can build the nWCH on time and at an affordable cost. https://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/south-australia/sas-biggest-private-building-soon-to-open-as-a-345-million-hospital/news-story/27d15330c0040010ae27ed8940bcdc73 posted the whole article i...

Re: News & Discussion: Regional Transport
The cost to a company for staff isn't equal to the staff salary costs. You have to add on Super, sick leave, annual leave, payroll tax, administration costs, insurance, a building for them to work in, power, water, computers, printers, desks, chairs, software licenses, profits, etc, etc, etc. A good...
