From all accounts this is definitely a real project with traction, and a committed operator who are keen on establishing a wider presence in Australia.

Great idea, great location right near the edge of the city, nice use of the old hotel. Watch the Walkerville Council blow this to pieces. I knew SOMEBODY would bugger this up, at least... Just about the only thing they did not have an issue with was the overall height/number of levels! It seems to ...

I can't remember the last time full bricks (not brick slips) were used in a construction of this scale.
I would expect they will be brick slips as it gets further off the ground.
Really looking forward to seeing this one come together.

The poor state of this building is a legacy of Stephan Knoll. I still have hope for it, but I agree with the sentiments that ACC/State Government should be more aggressive with developers who sit on property and do nothing. You and I cannot purchase a suburban allotment and do nothing with it for y...

I suspect they were clad in asbestos insulation, or something else nasty - hence the big plastic tent used during those works. If you looked close up at the tanks after the tent was removed you could see signs of material having been scraped off of the entire surface of all of them. This is correct...
