Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
This isn't directly related to train operations. But I was just thinking of the toilets at ARS, and was wondering why those hand dryers get so ridiculously loud, the longer you use them. Is this some half-assed plan from the DIT to save in gas consumption? I could swear that they can reach at least ...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
In response to the above post, the CNGs will not get a life extension. They are very unreliable, very slow, and hopeless up hills. There are only 23 out of the original 41 accessible ex Serco ones that are currently serviceable anyhow. The rest are dead. I doubt that any will be around by 2024. If e...

I don't understand the reason as to why someone would manoeuver onto the bridge, and then want to ascend down to the train station. Makes as much sense as the current inefficient road network, and the firing ranges in the country, where two oncoming missiles (usually cars or trucks miss by a tiny ma...

Gepps Cross intersection
Is there anything on the cards for this unofficial carpark which is devoid of meters? Everytime I venture through it, it just reminds how this city is stuck in the dark ages in some ways. I couldn't find a thread on it. I don't think the former Hungry Jacks site needs another OTR occupying it. I thi...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
I remember the Elizabeth South underpass from around the turn of the millennium. It was poorly lit, narrow, and often wreaked of urine. It was a design flaw from the days when drugs and internet were less of an issue. If there are any of these left, they need to be removed immediately. This was 20 y...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
I can't find any sign of a crossing. The one closest to Crozier Tce looks to be removed. These will continue to happen, unless frequent overway bridges are installed. I can't predict those in office spending billions to save about 50 lives per year though.

Re: Overweight trams morphing into trains
I don't think that having services run express between Dry Creek and Adelaide on weekends is the smartest idea from the boofheads in that box on North Tce, or the one in Grenfell St. There are no regular bus services which serve Dry Creek. Someone on social media tried to justify this, under the gui...

What about Brighton Rd? Are there any blueprints/plans for grade separation there?
I was wondering if it would be more practical to excavate land for a below ground corridor, which will complete separate it from the current road and rail network. Rivers/waterways could be an issue.

Re: MATS Plan - Available Now
By 'available now', this gives the impression that you have provided a link to enable it to be viewed. This is not the case.
If you want to control/limit the distribution, then say so. Otherwise I cannot figure out a valid reason to require a PM to be sent in order to access it.

Do you have a link? There could be several threads which border on defence discussion.

Anzac Hwy should have a bus lane from the Tapleys intersection to Keswick as well. As should Goodwood Rd on the side heading towards the city.

[PRO] Re: Westfield Marion (2019/20 Extension)
Munno Para Shopping City is in Smithfield. The suburb of Munno Para is further north in two parts. The eastern 1970s part had a small local shopping centre. The newer 2010s part west of the railway line has Woolworths Playford in a building that is apparently the "Munno Para Marketplace" ...

[PRO] Re: Westfield Marion (2019/20 Extension)
In regards to the development in this vicinity, can I suggest renaming some more shopping precincts after nearby suburbs? Just in order to continue the trend of inaccuracy. 'Marion' shopping centre is more suited to being named Sturt, or Oaklands. The actual suburb of Marion is at least a mile north...

Well, Churchill Rd needs widening. Way too many buses get delayed by the unofficial 50kph limit in 60 zones that many motorists are now adhering to. There is the space, but not the desired funding allocation. A while ago, there were 1.5km long queues at Regency Rd in peak hour. The only possible rem...
