Re: Events Post-Covid
They're going to play all the summer tournaments there because of the logistical nightmare involved in bringing in players from around the world and having to quarantine them. Who knows what the situation will be in across the country in January? 48 hours ago nobody thought we would be in the midst ...

Re: Tunnel under the airport ASAP!
If they buy up the properties along that stormwater drain, they could build a non-stop road. Bit of a funky interchange linking it to the NSM and JCD, run the road around the northern end of the airport and some on/off ramps at Sir Richard Williams ave..and you have your airport link. Marion Road co...

Rollercoaster Freeway. Does anyone really get sick from the undulations in T2T and Superway? The Southern Expressway has much bigger hills by following the topography. I don't know why they are on the Superway, but I imagine the trenches are easier to manage stormwater with a few places to pump out...

[VIS] Re: New inner-city stadium
And the joke continues with these pie in the sky, unworkable concepts – and that is very reason there is no proper plan of action. There is no single focus and there are too many conflicting self-interest groups. The most practical solution still might be a properly rebuilt Memorial Drive for hardc...

[COM] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade
That artists rendition is a comical reduction from the early renders, puts some of the bait and switch from the last few years of city high rise proposals to shame. You just knew it was going to end this way after the interim government put the pergola over the top and called it a fine new developm...

LOL, it's an ATP 250 event, the LOWEST tier of tournaments.

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway
What is the 'airport link' thing they were mentioning about? There may end up being an interchange in the vicinity of Sir Donald Bradman and James Congdon Drives, which would let people use the NSM to get to and from the airport. There damn well better be. Otherwise chalk it down as another liberal...

The Harrington Apartments on Prospect Road is selling its penthouse for $1.47M!! https://www.realestate.com.au/property-apartment-sa-prospect-134584394 That seems a bit rich considering you could buy a pretty nice house just around the corner for that price... https://i2.au.reastatic.net/800x600-fo...

[PRO] Re: Central Market Arcade Redevelopment | ~ 135m | 35 levels
Rev's comments here are a perfect example of, as I discussed previously, how the emotional can trump the rational in economic decision making. The lack of democracy in China may infuriate Australians, but it is of no logical relevance to a decision about whether to exclude commercial investment fro...

Worst case scenario, they just cut 10% of the building off. Who cares about the CCP. We are not going to be bullied into economic coercion. Chinese developer backed out. Good, the less CCP backed investors the better. This is precisely the kind of attitude that has cost us this investment and may w...
