Re: I hope everyone is travelling well and getting through this.

If I'm wrong, which you appear to agree I'm not despite your efforts to argue with me, then why is the government going to close down the medihotel program and move them all into a single facility? Unless something new has been announced in the last couple of hours that's absolutely not what they'r...

Re: I hope everyone is travelling well and getting through this.

And what do you mean it's not easy to get it done? We have massive mining operations in the middle of nowhere, in some of the most remote places in the world, not just here in Australia but in other parts of the world. Mines with thousands of people living and working there. Every day there are sup...

Re: I hope everyone is travelling well and getting through this.

The advertiser article reiterates what a number of epidemiologists have been suggesting for many months, that the medihotel system is seriously flawed - it's a shame they were not listened to sooner. The Federal Government should have shown some initiative and reopened their immigration detention f...

Re: Events Post-Covid

The Fringe and Adelaide Festival are still happening at this stage. The Fringe has a variety of changes to comply with restrictions, and the venues will be laid out differently. The Feast Festival is currently happening in Adelaide, which was already a bit of a test of how events might happen in th...

The Keswick creek is an important part of stormwater removal for the area, with the area considered especially susceptible to once in a hundred year floods.

Bit of a tangent but it's also interesting to wonder what this tunnelling could mean for future projects. If we have that equipment and expertise built up locally the CBD rail proposals become a lot more plausible.

It will certainly end up a b grade cafe area and the tower will probably never happen

The tower will definitely get built. It's a great piece of land for a commercial tower being gifted, and getting this plaza built is the price being paid.

So westbound will be dumped at a dead end on west terrace?
There's a bike crossing there that joins the bike path in the Western parkland and is already a popular route for cyclists. The other criticisms are definitely odd, but that part makes sense.

That looks very silly and I'm sure there will be lots of complaining voices.

Which means it's perfect. :D
Check the ABC Adelaide Facebook post re: this, they're going bananas.
If it's the same type of complaints the pigs got then it's a good sign!
