Piling is well underway here, this would now be considered UC.

[U/C] Re: Central Market Arcade Redevelopment | 130m | 39 levels

If they've gone to the effort to put signage on the building, then surely that's an indication that nothing will be happening for a while? I would suggest the opposite.I'd say the signage is actually safety screens, to mitigate dust in internal demolition. Once the demo reached the perimeters, we s...

I believe the old GPO will be completely restored and from memory turned into a high end retail/dining precinct.

I assume it's the first of two cranes on site is being assembled at the moment. Unless it is a long span hammerhead with a huge reach, two cranes will be needed on this site.

[COM] Re: Festival Plaza Incl. 115m Tower | $800 million

I agree AG, I guess as soon as we see a plan for the site we can start to really analyse it. Personally, something along the design lines similar to the new under construction Capital Square office tower (originally hotel) in Perth with a taller podium allowing line of site to Parliament house would...

[COM] Re: Festival Plaza Incl. 115m Tower | $800 million

I for one am interested to see where this second tower will sit. Hopefully it's closer to the King William St side of the site, to allow some space from the bulk that is Festival Tower. I'd also like to see a tower that uses a curved facade on a smaller footprint (think Souther Cross Arcade) but tal...

Driving past this one a few days ago, there is some excavation underway. Not sure if it's site remediation, but it definitely doesn't feel like a dormant site just yet

The Brisbane situation was due to a disagreement with the landlord, not Myer's choice to move.

[COM] Re: Festival Plaza Incl. 115m Tower | $800 million

Great photo as usual Prodical! Despite the bulky nature of the tower, the materials and quality of facade help create interest in what is a fundamentally simple design. I'm interested to see how much of a roof level variation is shown when viewed from the Torrens. Some renders showed almost a floor ...

The shades also look like they currently have a protective covering on them. Perhaps once removed there'll be more of a contrast against the facade as shown on the renders? For what it's worth having seen the glazing in the flesh I reckon the materials here are of a very high standard and the end re...

[COM] Re: Festival Plaza Incl. 115m Tower | $800 million

Driving along North Terrace this afternoon, it looked like one of the tower cranes were in use. It seems weird that a site would be open on a Sunday. Does anyone know of any deadlines for this project that would be forcing them to work Sundays? I'm pretty sure they were doing testing. I was up at 2...

From what i could see in the distance, I think a tower crane is now on site for this development. I noticed a yellow hammerhead crane that looks to be on the end of Jetty (as well as I could judge from Shepherds Hill Road)

The perennial question, should this be UC rather than SWP?

I know excavating the basement is Site Works, but there are four ground level columns at the Southern end which have been poured. You can see one of these in EBG's photo from this morning
Good pick up, just changed it to U/C :)
