Re: News & Developments: Port Adelaide
It worries me that once that shed goes, not only is there very few remaining that are on "public" land that can be repurposed, what is stopping this development from ending up like the proposed hotel next door? That site has been empty for close to 15 or more years. Also, the fact that the...

Are a lot of the original art works from when the festival centre plaza was built going to be re-instated?

Looks like a good outcome especially for the heritage buildings currently on site. Would be great to be able to see them close up and in use.

Semi related question - what was on this block previously? Or was it never built on since the West Lakes development stated in the 1970's?

They aren't messing around. Just to be clear though, this isn't technically part of the original GPO Building is it? Also, does anyone have any pictures of what the inside looks like now especially the main post office area with the dome? I really hope that section remains unchanged. So the origina...

I hope I am not the only one that hopes for all of the existing old stone structures are retained no matter what development happens on the rest of the land. This area is of high historical value and should be only added to, not demolished and wiped clear

Its still not as bad as that dogs breakfast down Waymouth St but its very close. There is nothing redeeming about this building at all and to think they are using such a beautiful building as its street level façade

I am not sure if its just coincidence, but every time I have driven on the newer concrete section between St Kilda and Bolivar etc when its raining, the speed limit is reduced to 60. Is there a reason for this? If its because the road is slippery when it rains, doesn't that kind of defeat the purpos...

Great design. I work just around the corner from this site and did notice recently a for sale sign out the front of the "open air" car park. Was curious what that means so I hope that this is built. I was told that the reason why they remove the roofs from these car parks is it gives the o...

What happened to the talk of having a tunnel under the airport to link with the current dead end section of Richmond Road? Or was it just that - talk?

There should really be a tram stop up there with the stairs connecting the train station to the tram stop. I still don't understand why this wasn't done when they upgraded the Glenelg line before the flexity trams came in to service.
