Adding to the chorus that this is an absolutely dismal piece of work.

I took this photo back in March and forgot to upload it. I really think the angle gives an unusual view of these new CBD buildingsIMG_20180315_123609~4.jpeg Sent from my TA-1020 using Tapatalk If that area over the train lines ever does get covered over it really would be a great public space frame...

How long before a proposal emerges how they will do it? Does the forum expect a continuous underpass for $1.4b? The big question is property resumptions.. will they try to replicate the same path as the current T2T and take out/widen the Western side of South Rd? Any heritage/problem buildings? So ...

I'm really disappointed with the Marshall government on this one (and I voted Liberal). Firstly, they didn't do their homework in being aware of the more advanced NT government proposal. The Marshall government proposal is nothing more than a thought bubble at this stage. I too am disappointed when...

With this minor expansion work a zipline could be constructed where tourists zipline from the CBD down to the top of Mount Lofty.

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
Yeah, the festoon lighting was taken down a few weeks ago. I agree that the permanent catenary lighting is too dim (my only real qualm with the upgrade), but I don't know if the festoon lighting should be ongoing either. If it were up year-round it'd lose any occasional significance - for Christmas...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
I noticed the centenary lighting in the mall has been taken down. The mall was so dark and devoid of life on Friday night. Why would they do that coming into the darkest gloomiest time of year? poor decision IMO. That's a shame. The Rundle Mall lighting that was put in a few years ago looks look ha...

Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Network
that's not how it works... train lines are no good if the people living in those new sprawling suburbs don't work anywhere near the line Chicken and egg. Having good public infrastructure encourages developments that take advantage of it. Problem is, we don't have good PT especially rail in the alr...

Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Network
If the state can't afford that train line expansion then we probably can't afford the extra sprawl. that's not how it works... train lines are no good if the people living in those new sprawling suburbs don't work anywhere near the line Chicken and egg. Perhaps rather than being condescending, try and understand my comment first? I'm referring to the western side of the bridge where there is a staircase on one side and no sign of slab supports on the other, it appears to be no intention to cover it any further... Did they ever say there were entir...

Re: Deregulation of Shop Trading Hours
Are you worried about market share of alcohol sales or consumers access to alcohol creating societal problems? I don't know about the smaller space being an issue. Aldi here in Perth sell alcohol (not sure about other states), and their stores are on quite a small footprint. IGA/ Foodland could eas...

Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Network
The federal Coalition has shown willingness to overlook incomplete business cases when it suits them, such as with the $5 billion they've foreshadowed for a Tullamarine rail link. Yes, but I think it is more likely to overlook the business case development in cases where it suits the federal govern...
