Re: PRO: 30-year Transport Plan PRO | $36b

I'm kind of hoping that Adelaide will get used to the idea of the middle lanes being shut and then council will surprise everyone by saying it's closed for good.

Ignore the whinge at the start - second part is a tour of the construction with some insight into how it's all going to look. The new water feature sounds good. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kHneDxrbpfo&feature=youtu.be&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DkHneDxrbpfo%26feature%3Dyoutu.be "Tom Ri...

FYI, I tweeted the ACC about the new pedestrian crossing and how it seemed counterproductive to their pro-pedestrian message. They replied:
"Re: Rundle Place pedestrian crossing. The approval was given by State Gov DAC. ACC supplied comments against implementing"

I ride past this puppy quite a bit from the Morphett Street Bridge and the other day touristy looking people were taking photos. Imagine that. A modern building in being photo bait. You wouldn't read about it.

Bet you, this time next year they'll be very openly talking about building the Northern Grandstand to 'plug' the gap in the stadium. You just wait until the footy season is over and everyone whinging ad nauseum to the Advertiser about the lack of protection from the winter weather elements; wind an...

I drove past at about 11pm last night and there were a few people onsite working. There's still a fair bit of work to do in terms of growing the turf on the ground. Sure they'll have to get the grass down fairly soon. Can't just put it in at the end of December. It has to be in and ready to go for ...

Re: Height Limits leaving Adelaide behind
Meh. Height means nothing in the grand scheme of things. You can have the highest buildings but nothing at ground level and end up with down town LA or Dubai or to a lesser extent Perth. Look at Paris. Or even London (considering its size, they've only JUST got on board having a few more tall buildi...
