^^ This building was approved some time ago. The only thing keeping it back is commercial interests (finance, tenants, leasing, etc) what is your point? it is like the le cornu site. the council claims that they are not against it blah blah, but they make it so difficult for developers by continuou...

I hope it does go through. Very little happening in Adelaide at present. :( Definitely out of proportion to Brisbane, now capital of the worst hit state by the recession - still much construction - probably over 20 cranes yesterday. Makes you wonder what is going on in Adelaide with 600 000 pop. le...

Re: State Election 2010

I think Labor has my vote next election, just the things the Rann government has done and still to do for this state; new airport, new royal adelaide, improved roads, electric trains, mining/defence industries, they've also brought trams back to Adelaide's streets and are building a desal plant. Wh...

Wave is definately my favourite apartment block to have gone up in the last 10 years. This city definately needs more towers like this one with curves on them

Re: #U/C : Ent. Centre Upgrade | $50m | (2,500) | Hindmarsh

LOOK BEYOND what is currently being built. For starters i hate when people say tram to nowhere....i don't how many times the gov. said IT IS EVENTUALLY GOING TO SEMAPHORE/WEST LAKES. This is only stage 1 and will be very useful when the TODS at west lakes and Clipsal site are up and running. Jesus c...

Re: Heritage buildings left to rot

I think the main point of the ACC should be to put money into refurbishing heritage buildings in the city. If the owners don't have the money to fix them, the ACC should put its money where its mouth is and provide funding for rejuvenating the city's old buildings.

Re: #U/C: [ City Central ] Masterplan Thread

On the plus side if all the buildings look the same, it will become a land mark in the city. People will say 'yeah i work at city central' and everyone will know where that is.

Re: Electrification and Resleepering of TransAdelaide Network

On the news this evening, it was said the belair line is now reopen and this was the first stage in electification of the line. I thought this line is only being resleepered, not being electrified :?

Nice pics. This project is turning out to be my favourite project atm. Not only does it look good being all reflective, but it also adds so much to an area which was originally quite dull.

You've probably seen the news about the $5b Gorgon LNG project in WA. Well i'm watching it from an environmental impact perspective. How the fed govt treats "profit vs environment" for this WA project will provide insight to the prospects of the BHP ODX open cut mine project. There's two ...

WA also gets a higher price for there iron ore, mineral sands etc than SA due to the grade or 'quality' of the ore.

That looks pretty good. I am really looking forward to this one...one step closer for shaking off that backwater tag.
