[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

Which government thought of the Ayliffes Road flyover? Is that such an eyesore that traffic lights would have been better there too? There are far fewer residential properties in the immediate vicinity of the Ayliffes Road flyover than the proposed ANZAC highway one. Ayliffes Road: https://i.imgur....

I haven't seen any recent activity, construction or otherwise, down the Oval end. The last use was for some art installations during Fringe/early 2022.
No, but the 'for lease' signage has all been removed so I presume something is in the works.

[VIS] Re: New Womens and Childrens Hospital

But the renders also show an open park & playground next to the hospital. Do they? Not sure if I'm missing something but I can't see a new playground - unless that's what is on the triangle between the two hospitals where the WCH was originally proposed. Even so, considering that site is specif...

Coffee shop I'd say. It's been nearly 7 years since the newsagent here closed its doors.
That's possible for the small previously-newsagent tenancy but I meant the large tenancies at the other end of the station - they're too big for a coffee shop.

Maybe something happening with the retail unit at the station? The white hoardings are down that have been there forever:
I've also noticed the larger tenancies towards the Oval end of the station no longer show for lease signs. I'm still hoping for a metro type supermarket here.

[VIS] Re: New Womens and Childrens Hospital

Location aside I don't find the hospital building itself that offensive but man that car park is hideous. Looks like an afterthought added to the design and copy-pasted from one of the various o-bahn park and ride proposals. However, on that note I think it's fair to acknowledge that the design is l...

I have no problem with as long as they retain the running and cycling path that very few people use anyway.
Minor point and don't want to veer off topic but I cycle this route regularly and I'd describe it as a pretty busy path - both for cyclists and runners/walkers.

Bit of a recurrent theme with tonight's posts but along with the Hahndorf access project the new WCH (on this site at least) has been canned.

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Had a suss of the Uniqlo site the other day when walking past. Those hoping for a large flagship store are sure to be sorely disappointed… From what it seems, it’s largely ground level with a much smaller level 1 footprint at the rear. I suspect, like H&M in RMP, they’ll opt for a scaled down m...

Re: Disneyland Adelaide

Not that I wouldn't love to take my kids to a Disneyland that was only half an hour away but it just looks like a random outlet has picked up the same non-story that was the brain fart of one guy with no connection to Disney at all. Even the article ends by saying Disney have no known plans for any ...
