Well they didn't put in neons in the underpass, so why would they do it for the overpass?
I too wish for neons and other colourful lighting.

Excusing the fact that this is my desktop wallpaper; since I can't find the location of the original image file... but just to give you an idea, this is typically how low a plane flies over the Adelaide CBD. And, believe me, I've seen them fly much lower. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4011/43291455...

Well, I think it's fair to say they (the Government) wouldn't approve a "satellite city" of this size, without adequate PT or even freeway links, unless the they knew that Federal funding would be promised to fund the $2.2b Northern Connector proposal. There's too much risk doing so otherw...

Re: Shuz's Google Maps Visions Compilation
I've put together a map of the tram network as it were in 1949. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=106973402657205488323.00047e9b0d65da61b00ed&ll=-34.927038,138.616219&spn=0.159602,0.264702&t=h&z=12 And I've reconfigured my tram network vision again; ...

Oooh, goody! I've been looking forward to this one. We need more curvature in our city. Will be a nice density booster for the West End.
Must be a sign of the times things are picking up again, slowly, but surely, with re-commencement of this and the Merc on Gouger projects.

Re: News: Adelaide City Council
A weekly poll would be a good thing. To be able to obtain a sample poll, say from a potential market of 5,000 people each week, would give a fairly reliable indication of an issue's popularity, and Council should utilise that data to influence policy-making and decisions. However, I do believe that ...

Weren't you for this part of the tram extension at one stage shuz? Initially, yes. But as time has gone by, I have drawn to appropriate conclusion that the extension should not have been warranted. Now I understand the reason why Governments need to conduct studies before they commence projects; at...

I'm seriously stunned by this draconian implementations upon our free speech. I call for a rally. This is just not on. I did not elect these people to censor our right to say how we feel about our politicians, or anyone else for that matter. I thought we were a democracy, and it seems we are fast tu...

Port Road is sufficiently wide enough; to quote your words AtD - widening a road is like curing obesity by buying a bigger belt. What the Government has effectively done is simply put a tramline down (what is believed to be the 2nd busiest stretch of road in Adelaide) and not only just that, but see...
