Re: The Federal Politics Thread
I was trying to keep my post brief as I'm on my phone, but yes I know it's still taught. To what extent I don't know(been a long time since I finished school). Wouldn't surprise me if that was why they want to change things. I don't think it's mandatory in high school, it should be broken down betwe...

Re: The Federal Politics Thread
There should be more focus on Australian history in schools. It should be mandatory. Religion not so much since we there's more then just Christians in Australia..last thing we need is some Muslim extremists demanding we teach Islam too..and the typical left wing fake refugee loving wankers of this ...

Pretty sure he was talking about the spell of heat we had not long ago. Who really cares if landscaping is done yet or not though. As long as the road is up and able to be used by vehicles. A few extra weeks of speed restrictions on South Road below wont kill anyone. At least you'll be able to go th...

Re: Freight industry contribution to cost of road projects
Didn't I say a few months ago that they are softening the ground for tolls to be introduced in SA?
It's inevitable.
If they introduce them for freight users first, it will eventually be extended to regular road users too.

Even the Liberal Party are ashamed of him. He's already been back-benched, next he'll be running as an independent. Years ago, you could have said the same thing about Tony Abbott, and he's the Prime Minister now. I believe the brain-dead masses of Australian voters will elect someone like Cory Ber...

Yes there is a 3am lockout on NYE. There is quite some concern from club/pub/hotel and transport operators on the news the other night re the logisitcs of being a weeknight, a predicted hot night, and many extra thousands of revellers clambouring to get into clubs before 3am and after their midnigh...

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor
on a brighter note...demolition of properties in the Hindmarsh area, South of Grange road has commenced with several houses going/gone in the last week. Demolition is also picking up pace along the Croydon section, all on the Western side of south road in both areas. This is a critical milestone in...

The game starts at 7.10pm, it will finish before 11.30pm.
Elder Park will again be a NYE venue, with fireworks.
There will be plenty of people at the cricket who will then go out to Elder Park for the fireworks etc.

Re: Beer Garden
Did I hear correctly that in the new year legislation will pass in SA to increase the fine for driving unregistered to $2,500 ?? If so that is bloody pathetic and nothing more than revenue raising to the extreme :toilet: Why? Driving an unregistered car is a pretty easy thing to avoid doing. Cars a...

Locking them up causes great hardship. And living in Australia costs money - if we're preventing them from working then it's only fair that we should pay. And what's wrong with them getting a job? Our laws prevent them from doing so until their immigration status is settled. So our laws say they ca...

Considering the turmoil in Egypt and Libya, I'm surprised that figure wasn't higher. Tens of thousands arrive in Italy as well. But there are millions of displaced people, from Syria especially, living in tent cities in neighboring countries. They are the REAL refugees who cant afford $10,000 a hea...

Of course it's another broken promise. They knew they wouldn't be able to keep that promise. The UN would eat them for breakfast if they kept that promise. Have you seen any country on the planet that has actually done anything serious about keeping out illegal immigrants? Greece for example is inun...

Does anyone know what the building under construction between AO and the tennis courts is for? Pretty sure it's the indoor cricket center. You may recall there used to be an old building between the tennis courts and the old bradman stand. It was demolished along with the bradman stand. Where it's ...

[COM] Re: PRO: SkyCity Adelaide Casino Expansion | $300m
The "attitude" I complain about at times is those who complain that Adelaide is shit, never changes, blah blah, who say Melbourne or that place are better. But they themselves don't have any ideas or thoughts on what could make Adelaide better. Except of course copying what Melbourne has d...
