^^ that bar is fantastic but damn near freezing when its gusty! I agree though, seeing the city poke out from the riverbank is a very unique view. got my showdown tix today, carn crows. The frosty factor is a non-issue for footy as the longest break between quarters is twenty minutes as opposed to ...

[COM] Re: UC: Torrens Footbridge | $40m
walked down the bridge today. to be honest it is a bit underwhelming what I do really like is 1) the ease of access to the oval now and 2) the crossing at the end, pedestrians come first. GOOD. GRIEF. You realise the functionality that you speak of is only PART of the development? Most of the bells...

Last night, after knocking off from Lola's Pergola, I walked over Morphett Street bridge and could see the lighting on the Torrens bridge reflected in the water below and it looked stunning. Great piece of infrastructure!

Vox pops on the street are the IRL version of reading the AdelaideNow comments. Channel 10 does a kind of bipolar version of covering developments in Adelaide. http://tenplay.com.au/news/adelaide/2014/1/6/construction-zone AMAZING DEVELOPMENTS EVERYWHERE! Boo! TERRIBLE DEVELOPMENTS EVERYWHERE! Boo! ...

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the idiocy of the state Liberal Party and Vickie Chapman's claims? I'll leave this image here to really drill it home.

Who are you asking Rev? Here's an empirical survey instead of what is in your head. Go to Google Images, search for Adelaide. What was it I was supposed to see? The fact that Adelaide has changed very little compared to the east coat capitals? Were you trying to highlight the fact that Adelaide con...

Well, we knew it was coming. If this is the best News Limited has to rag on the new Adelaide Oval then it's clearly a successful redevelopment: http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/opinion/lance-campbell-expect-oval-turf-wars-and-border-disputes-in-the-worlds-mostnamed-grandstand/story-fni6unxq-122677...

He has a stand. Adelaide Oval is simple, sophisticated and memorable....plus it puts our city's name in lights.
Moving on.

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
Finally, whilst I am not a fan of football or tennis, so am not likely to ever use it, the new Adelaide Oval looks like a very well designed and upmarket stadium from what I have seen. Just a shame they couldn't have come up with a less generic name for it. Ahahahahahaha. Are you serious? I spose w...

Wait what?
People are annoyed about the POSSIBILITY of a low drawing match (Bupa Final would NOT bring 70,000 people, nor could it) being shafted over, and I don't use this term often, a WORLD-CLASS stadium tour from The ROLLING STONES.
Is this a joke?
