Definitely hasn't gone to Hansen Yuncken. Haven't heard who has actually got it but mgb is probably correct.

Re: News & Discussion: Road Issues & Traffic Congestion
Let's say we register cyclists, shouldn't we also register scooters because the scooters aren't much of a step away from bikes. Now that we've registered cyclists and scooters there's not much difference between scooters and skateboards and roller skates so perhaps we should register them as well. N...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
People do actually live in the West, even quite close to Grange Rd. I've heard that some of them actually like living there! I try to avoid the place myself. A tram to The Parade would suit me better personally. The uplift in PT use by a tram down Grange Rd would be much greater than The Parade or B...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
The reason they want to run the tram to Coopers Stadium is that it can be the first step in extending the tram down Grange Road which is a wide road corridor which has plenty development sites crying out for medium to high density infill. Unlocking this potential will give the govt much greater retu...

There are some on the drawing board. Expect them to be announced in the next few months.slenderman wrote:
I'd say we need two 50m+ buildings on the blocks between Sturt and Wright or Halifax and Carrington for the gap to finally be bridged.

[CAN] Re: #U/C: The Precinct - 5 x 18 lvl - 58m towers
The interface with Franklin St is a blank 1.8m high concrete wall with a 1m high glass balustrade attached. A 2.8m high impervious barrier broken only by a 1.5m wide set of stairs is almost as far from an active frontage as you can get. This is probably the worst treatment of a major street frontage...

This building and 42 Franklin St are vying for Origin as their major tenant. Whichever building wins will proceed in current form or higher. The other will be put on hold or drastically reduced in scale.

Re: #Proposed: Buckland Park Development
Am I the only one to whom this development screams 'Monarto'? This sounds like a '70s urban planner's wet dream, and I for one don't like the idea of the poor souls stuck out there gasping for air amidst all that utopian pre-planned backslapping raining down on them. It's rather chilly out on this ...

Re: #Completed : Glenelg Tram Line Upgrade
An integrated bike and pedestrian path is such a logical step. It would only cost a little extra to do it now but would be prohibitively expensive to do later. It says something about DTEI's mindset that it wasn't included in the original proposal.

Bring on a new application for this site. Taller and better, 30 levels minimum. Would be great! Bye Bye ACC. Get back to collecting the garbage and putting parking ticktes on cars. As a city resident, God only knows what you do with my $1500 rates every year but it's not decent public speces (Victo...
