Re: 2 x 18 Levels Mawson Lakes

One day it might be moved along, but not for 50 years at least (2060s/2070s What makes you think it has 50 years to go? Nothing I have seen has given anything remotely close to that. Given the previous statements about the land being sold for residential, roads inlets that are already formed, and n...

Going by what has previously been said and the preprepared roads, Parafield Airport will not be around that much longer.

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn

I still don't quite understand how the govt was able to build this through the parklands without any real problem/adversity but can't (or won't try again) for a purpose built pit building/grandstand in Victoria Pk? Public transport is a community service to be used by many every day of the year for...

Maybe Bunnings has a plan to exit externally owned Mall land in general.
They recently closed the Munno Para store to relocate to the middle of nowhere.

Pretty sure similar roads have gradient changes.

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor

As far as I'm aware the reason the grade changes is because of different environmental factors in different areas. In places like Wingfield having a lowered freeway is too costly because of soil contamination. Because it is all industrial, visual amenity factors don't come into play. In other areas...

There is a publically released plan that has been linked a bunch of times. http://www.infrastructure.sa.gov.au/nsc/10_year_delivery_strategy http://www.infrastructure.sa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0009/166392/new-delivery-strategy.pdf Regency Road crossing is to be an elevated road/superway. I do...

Re: Negativity in Adelaide

People that say Adelaide has nothing to offer simply have never looked. They are lazy boring people. Adelaide has plenty of tourist attractions. Many huge gardens, old buildings, many wine regions, venues like ao/ec/ft, shopping regions like rundle mall and central markets, constant stream of festiv...

Does it save on average 3 minutes of time per train? As if that is the number we will need media and public hysteria about it being a waste of money.

Re: The SA Politics Thread

Port Adelaide pre paid a lot of money for the service. I think this counts as a refund. Other people could try to negotiate refunds for tickets they pre paid for this particular service that was not delivered.

I don't see why they would have called the completed section North-South Motorway if that was not the intended name for the entire road. It makes no sense to call a random section of road in Wingfield the North-South Motorway.

[COM] Re: Festival Plaza Redevelopment | $800 million

I think the idea is the convention centre is supposed to look disconnected. If it was giant single building it would be boring. The majority of this riverbank precinct is the convention centre and the 3 unrelated parts make it seem like more is going on there than there actually is. Eg a friend rece...
