A glass box? Heard that one before. It's not exactly a box, it had fantastic (yet subtle) curves. Honestly, it's sophisticated and elegant. If anything, the CURRENT design is a box. You can't even see inside! Talk about dull. Pure glass as a building facade actually always works out beautiful...

Great Hall looks great! However, I did prefer the original render for the Cancer Biology building. Original - nicest (imo)/b] http://resources0.news.com.au/images/2013/06/15/1226664/328352-5e07df2e-d578-11e2-b1c3-c244da926eff.jpg Latest render - somewhat of a let down http://i228.photobucket.com/alb...

This render was a lot nicer than the current one. Why do they have to dumb things down?!

No wonder Adelaide has a reputation as a rust bucket city. Nothing gets done and when it does get done, it's at a snail's pace. The pole is freaking awful, but everyone else can see that too.

Re: Bizarre Summer Weather
Well the mild and pleasant summer got shot to pieces with the scorcher of a month that has been February. I don't think it's dropped below 30 degrees for more than two days since late January. We've also had our longest dry spell in 8 years, too. Bring on the rain I say and make the rest of the seas...

The odd rainfall in summer is something we are lucky to experience in Adelaide. Let's appreciate it.

Pic taken today. They always look so messy no matter how much care goes into them, note the pe...

I think if it's pissing with rain we need to worry more. People need to deal with the rain. Be prepared for it if it's forecasted and you're going out. Bring an umbrella etc. so you don't have to scurry to the nearest shelter. It's a lot better than being absolutely scorched with possible melanomas...

Depends what type of light post. Contemporary ones are certainly ugly, but Rundle Mall never had many of them anyway.
The historic ornate grand lamp posts from yesteryear were gorgeous, but mostly were not retained.
