If Tullamarine Airport already had a rail link, I'd bet my house, it would be well patronised.

I was looking at the 2006 Annual Report for AAL and it states that they are planning for a multi storey hotel connected to the terminal by a walkway. Anyone else heard of this? A tram line running down Bradman Drive would be wonderful - serving the airport and also the growing inner western suburbs...

With future economic growth in mind (such as discussed by Lang Walker in the Buckland Park thread), increased prosperity, air travel and SA population/migration growth, I think its vital we continue the example of vision and innovation set for our fair city by Col Light. There's already the start o...

...I'd rather see an ambitious underground direct train link up, go underground from the city train station to the airport. An idea thought up by ex-deputy Prime Minister Tim Fischer and published in The Advertiser several years ago. I don't think undergrounding is a sensible idea on the west side ...

I think that a tram line to the airport is a good idea, and if the tram replaced the current bus service to the airport, then it would be well patronised. However I don't think that the tram should travel down Sir Donald Bradman Boulevard. It would be better if the tram travelled from the CBD down ...

Not going to get much for $1.1m. They should focus on re-locating it to the city. I think most of us would like this, but with the current configuration at North Terrace it would be physically impossible. You may have to spend a few million (maybe in the tens) to solve the issue. Will a future gove...

That flight is scheduled for 20:05 (8:05pm). So I guess it would have been slightly early. It departs at 21:35 (9:35pm). The other SIA flights on Tuesdays are in the morning at 09:05 (arrival from Singapore) and 13:05 (1:05pm departure for Singapore) on a B777-200.

Al wrote:Slightly related. I nearly got squashed by a Singapore Airlines 747 today flying low over thebarton. I'm not sure how often they fly 747s into Adelaide but this one took me by surprise.
SIA operates 747s as freighters on Tuesdays and Saturdays. At what time was this flight?

Are you talking about the storm drain? I guess that could work, although it'll cause a bit of literal NIMBYism, as it would be people's back yards you're talking about. Good onya Adam, you win the prize. This idea is not that far fetched. The government if it wishes, just like it has done with the ...

Adelaide Airport rail link

I think one of Adelaide's next major transport projects should be a tram or light rail link to our new airport terminal. I would prefer a light rail system that would bring travellers to the Adelaide Railway Station than a tram, however both have their routes and advantages. Give your thoughts. Cheers

Actually, I might start a new thread on an Airport transport link, unless there's one already.
