[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor

The Civil Contractors Union spokespersons or something like that(sorry to whoever you were I forget your exact title) was on 5AA yesterday saying in the new year there would likely be announcements regarding rail crossing upgrades. He mentioned some minor crossings may have the road closed, but he ...

Re: News & Discussion : New Bars & Night Clubs

Ben wrote:Not entirely sure what they mean by a supper club.
According to Urban Dictionary:
supper club
Nicer term used in some more suburban areas for a swingers group
For some supper clubs, no food may be involved- if that's not your thing- you might want to decline the invitation.

Re: News & Discussion : New Bars & Night Clubs

Jesus Christ, that sounds like the most hideous "bar" experience possible.

Always think it's funny how some people refer to that sort of thing as "upmarket" when it's actually incredibly tacky and cheap. A bit like that Kim Kardashian woman...

[PRO] Re: 1-8 North Terrace | 82m | 2 x 24 Levels | Apartments

A welcome development, but I feel the design of both towers - particularly in a location as prominent as this - leaves a lot to be desired. Have to agree with this - it's not an eyesore as such but then again it's not exactly the architectural beauty that should accompany this prominent spot and th...

Agree - I also wonder what will come of the recent suggestion that the Uni of Adelaide might sell their Thebarton campus. Quite a lot of potential there if so...

Looks interesting. A proposed new live entertainment venue - Warehouse 5 - on River Street in Hindmarsh. http://www.charlessturt.sa.gov.au/webdata/resources/files/252%202887%2015%20-%201-5%20River%20Street%20and%2036-38%20Adam%20Street%20Hindmarsh.pdf https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5637/23252921399_...

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor

Looks like a lot more of the high voltage wires and poles on South Road have been taken down over the past couple of days - both north and south of Port Road. Looks so much better already! Does anyone know if any of the lines on Port Road are due to come down? The renders and fly-through videos don'...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Parklands

The ACC has deliberately kept park 21 looking like this because it's apparently one of the last remaining untouched patches of Adelaide Plains bushland The sad thing is - that would be fine with me. But I never knew about that. Nor, I presume, do most other people. So why on earth haven't the ACC m...
