As crawf says, whilst there maybe many potential up and coming areas... the Port would be my best bet for property investment. Close to the Outer Harbor line too, therefore close to the city. If you don't mind me asking, how do you come to that conclusion? I just don't see what will drive growth in...

Australia hasnt hosted APEC in yonks. I think we hosted the very first one back in the 80's?.
Anyway, Id steer clear of the convention center, not that you'll get in.

Kevin Foley can speak for him self. I want more motorsport, and if the world record attendances for a touring car event are anything to go by, so do alot of people in this state. Crowds are down so far at the GP in Melbourne. Maybe the so called sports capital isnt all its cracked up to be after all?

Given the fact that the majority of US residents let alone other countries view both Afghanistan and Iraq as failures on a massive scale probably means that Iran will be spared! One also...

I think they would be aware of such things happening, but its rather a matter of priorities. I dont think they see it as a priority to go around checking every plastic bottle and macas cup for alcohol.
